Hands-On Pyro Rocketry Add-On Program - (8th- 12th graders)
Min./ Max. Size of Group Required: 10/30 students
Amount of Time Required: 2 Hours
$20.00 additional per student

Watch your rocket launch over 100 feet and parachute back to the ground, during this hands-on activity. Pyro Rocketery includes a model rocket, building supplies and an engine for each pair of participants. It’s your turn to take to the skies!
March 1st – December 1st only

Students will…

  • D.8.5 While conducting investigations, explain the motion of objects by describing the forces acting on them.
  • B.8.1 Compare and contrast the function of technological systems
  • B.8.2 Analyze a system and identify the way in which it is controlled to produce a desired outcome.
  • B.8.3 Identify potential sources of failure in a system.
  • C.8.11 Raise further questions which still need to be answered
